Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach is an independent city located in the South Hampton Roads area in the Commonwealth of Virginia, on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Virginia Beach is best known as a scenic community, with miles of beaches and dozens of hotels, and restaurants. It is also home to several state parks, protected beach areas, three military bases, a number of large corporations, and two universities. The universities are Virginia Wesleyan College, which is a private liberal arts college, and Regent University, which is a private university almost completely dedicated to graduate education. Additional higher education may be found at Tidewater Community College, where its largest campus is located in Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach experiences a lot of military relocation as it is home to several military bases including Naval Air Station Oceana, Dam Neck Annex, Fort Story and Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek.

Virginia Beach provides its residents with an abundance of public schools and public libraries. It’s a great place to buy a home and raise a family.

With over 4,000 acres in neighborhood and community parks, district parks, and other open spaces, Virginia Beach offers something for everyone. There are three municipal golf courses in the area, playgrounds, picnic areas, sport fields, and tennis courts. The city also offers a variety of cultural centers and museums including the Virginia Beach Performing Arts Center and the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center.
